SInce I’m a word guy, I want to clarify something re: #Ferguson.
“The jury has spoken.” No, actually, it has not. This is confusing a trial jury finding (to which jeopardy attaches) and the refusal of a grand jury to indict (to which no jeopardy attaches). The prosecutor could go to another grand jury and seek an indictment again. He could do so 3 times, or a dozen.
