I really rather resent people who sit there saying "we shouldn't have special gathering days where you remind people you love them, that should be every day!" because they never, ever, are the people who actually act on that.

Don't be a Debbie Downer.  Let people have their reprieves and their special moments.  The jealousy doesn't suit anyone.
