So Moxie Marlinspike wants to save cryptocurrency?
I'm assuming he will save it like he saved cryptomessaging: great usability, give up decentralization, give up free software.
But I will read the article in the hope that I'm wrong.

@deutrino Signal source is available, but if you modify it you're not welcome on the server. Server doesn't federate, so you can't run your own server and be on the network.
OWS worked with WhatsApp and others to implement crypto in proprietary software.

@vascorsd Yes, Stellar is a Ripple fork originally, now reimplemented. And Jed McCaleb designed both, and originally wrote, owned and operated Mt. Gox.
