In FF57, you're on an XHTML page, it's loading progressively, nice, then you click a link before it finished loading.
*boom*
Parser thinks "oh that's the whole XML then, and I guess it's all broken because you didn't close the body tag" and just renders that error message.-

But the expected behavior would be for the partially-loaded page to remain partially loaded instead of being replaced by an error message and the flip is quite jarring. -

In Netscape Communicator, you're on an MIME article, it's loading progressively, nice, then you click an attachment before it finished loading.

Hallå Kitteh (clacke@social.heldscal.la)'s status on Thursday, 23-Nov-2017 10:37:11 UTC Hallå Kitteh @benis Or maybe the real answer is "when the models merge and are replaced by p2p". -

Hallå Kitteh (clacke@social.heldscal.la)'s status on Thursday, 23-Nov-2017 10:44:59 UTC Hallå Kitteh @benis I believe more in something self-describing, out-of-control, organic and horrible which somehow still manages to not entirely not work, than something which requires both ends to know the complete schema.

Hallå Kitteh (clacke@social.heldscal.la)'s status on Friday, 24-Nov-2017 02:06:58 UTC Hallå Kitteh @benis Wow, that page says too little and too much at the same time. I've been visiting http://about.psyc.eu/ at time, and I'd say the same about that site.
There clearly is someone who believes they are onto something big, and they clearly put a lot of effort into it and are very frustrated with IRC and other IM platforms, but if you've sussed out that PSYC has a self-describing data layer, you have been far more patient than me. :-)
