@phildini Fediverse has been around for 8 years now. IRC and XMPP even longer. Dtube rebuilds Youtube via Webtorrent. So, eEverything's decentralized and already sitting there waiting for people to use it.

@bob I know. But that's not what @phildini was claiming a lack of, if I got him right. The tools are there, have been for long time. If people mourn about golden cages and data silos they have to look over their plates' edges.

@devoops Quit.im is a plugin for Gnu Social, you can follow people there from you Mastodon account rightaway.
Wordpress is sorta decentralized, just grab a package at some hoster which has it preinstalled. No need for Medium (there never was one).
With that dating app: find a way for search/matching people to plug into mastodon. That way you can focus on privacy feature without having to care for decentralized infrastructure.
