@kat In short, the internal affairs ministry used a dirty trick: they said as there are two persons running linksunten these two are a club and then forbid this "club" for being extreme left-wing.
@kat Yes, three persons recieved a warrant today at 5.30 a.m. The minister wanted to shut it down in 2013 already but never did. It's suspected that he did now in the aftermath of G20 and to make his mark for the upcoming election. Here's some English coverage: https://gnusocial.de/url/4230796 https://gnusocial.de/url/4229589
@kat They did the same thing in the past with altermedia (far right) and some islamistic groups. Back then they had enough evidence to involve the federal prosecutor general from the beginning to run the ban process. This time they did so the ban is not yet legally operative.
@kat Just re-read some legal details: clubs/associations a protected by German constitution, trying to ban them is very hard for good reasons. So, the federal prosecutors now have to proof that linksunten operators gathered with the expressly purpose of spreading illegal content like calls for violence, acts against the constitution etc. We will see how the story goes on.
