Hallå Kitteh (clacke@social.heldscal.la)'s status on Monday, 14-Aug-2017 04:18:31 UTC Hallå Kitteh @fap I'm using AntennaPod on Android as my main audio feed reader (RSS/Atom).
On Linux I have used bashpodder and git-annex for a neat command-line experience, but many people like gpodder, which has a GUI. I don't know the status of Miro these days, but I used it as a video feed reader a long time ago, and I assume it handles audio well enough too.

Hallå Kitteh (clacke@social.heldscal.la)'s status on Monday, 14-Aug-2017 01:57:38 UTC Hallå Kitteh Now I read the article. A very good read with a misleading title. It really strengthens the case against empathy by widening the accusation to more emotions than just empathy, and suggesting concrete forces we have in place today to counteract them, and which could be expanded. The article coming from Cato, you won't be surprised to hear that they are the market forces. :-) -

Please, take it!

Hallå Kitteh (clacke@social.heldscal.la)'s status on Monday, 14-Aug-2017 04:02:30 UTC Hallå Kitteh @fap Sure is. There's an incredible amount of really good literature there, and the interfaces and formats they provide to get it into your ear are exemplary.
I have listened to both Edgar Rice Burrows pulp fiction and ancient Greek and Roman Stoic literature through Librivox. The narrators have been overall really good. -

I think the idea that incorrect assumptions, and in particular false weights, get punished by the harsh realities of the market, holds up.
This is also what Nassim Nicholas Taleb in his ideas about skin in the game and robust economical systems.
I haven't read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antifragile but it's on the list. -
