... or offline. I don't see how a bar date is any better than an online date.

@camby @zep @shpuld Being single is not too bad, compared to meaningless relationships. And I agree that getting closer to people you actually know is the known sustainable approach. Depending on your circles it might not scale, though.
I'm not actually dissing the bar thing. I'm just saying online is no worse, and might even be better, because bar social rules are kinda dodgy and covert.
When doing this kind of search-by-quantity though, it's important to keep in mind that there is no shame in calling a failure early, quite the opposite.

@zep @shpuld @camby Always a good idea, whether single or ten years married.
-
@camby @zep @shpuld And vice versa. Dating someone and then disengaging still means you are dateable material.

@zep @shpuld @camby If you did it once, you can do it again. No last chances.

@zep @shpuld @camby "No last chances" is true for any kind of deal, really, also when buying groceries. There is no super sweet discount that is unique in your lifetime. If you don't need tomatoes right now or in the near future, don't buy them, even if they're 50% off.

@clacke @zep @shpuld @camby Everything you don't buy is 100% off

@jookia @zep @shpuld @camby I annoy people close to me many times every month saying exactly those words.

@shpuld @jookia @camby @zep It's certainly easier to achieve a frugal lifestyle when your own comfort is the only factor to consider.

@shpuld @camby It's definitely good to know what you want out of life before diving into huge obligations.
