   I remember being beaten as a child on an almost weekly basis.
   Head repeatedly smacked on the floor, face beaten until bleeding pools of blood on the floor or being locked naked outdoors in the snow…
   then child psychiatrics interviewing me ONLY with those parents present and thus concluding that my running away from home to sleep in subway stations between going to school was ME being "problematic" so must be placed in special school.

     Also that ONE time I almost rebelled and hit my mother back after hours of battery, once, in the stomach.
     I panicked and not knowing what else to do, I faked a psychosis.
     They took me to the hospital.
     What did the hospital do?
     They checked me for clinical signs and without asking WHY, sent me home saying "he's not psychotic"... to another several years or consistent torture.

     At least it helped me get through army torture training no problem... at ALL. :-D

     Eventually I was sent to a foster home, due to incest allegations immediately found untrue.
     That family were butchers (literally and I grew up vegetarian/vegan), "born again" Christians using their position to "save" children, extreme racists (Jews, Arabs, Slavs, etc) and the "dad" wanted me deported due to having German (Nazi) grandfather so not "pure blood".
     The "dad" was later convicted of child-battery.

     I have repressed most of those memories and have asked for decades to get psychiatric aid in "releasing the baggage", to get well from being burnt out from work, but from all these decades… what have I got?
     Not even a diagnosis. Not even a single person assigned to talk to. Nothing.
     On the other hand... HAVE gotten refused basic social services so I lived on moss for months, until I dropped nails… twice.

     It took some considerable emotional effort to write, so... please do forward.

     I have literally spent more time drunk in parks with strangers "releasing the baggage" of my past as an abused child than with those paid to do it.
     Something... is wrong.
     Psychiatric care "professionals" just deferring for a possible later referral, decades later not having happened, compared to meeting strangers out partying and getting humanity for hours, time and time again.

     Keep in mind that there are thousands of children having escaped literal war, many after rape… to then be denied ANY psychiatric aid while their asylum is evaluated for years, some then only to be forcibly deported to war.
     This is our "humanity": a damn brickwall in the face of survivors, back to known death.
