     @maiyannah @shel Yeah, their original announcement said they would build on OStatus, IIRC.
     
     In the end they retained an ActivityStreams 1.0 feed with PuSH support, so it's good enough for an OStatus-compatible client to follow if it can get at the feed.

     @maiyannah @shel For the moment, ActivityPub supports everything Mastodon wants to do, so let's hope they stay compatible with that.
