     @lambadalambda @xj9 There's a plugin that adds threading to the classic UI and it looks terrible and is a pain to interact with.

     @lambadalambda @xj9 The Discourse model is pretty good. Flat, with assistance to find parents and children on request. Pleroma is partway there, I discovered today.
     
     If finding the parent would also expand a flat, indented list of all descendants that would probably be perfection. IIRC that's what Discourse does, but not 100% sure and too lazy to check a t m.
