@steve interesting how Venus looks surprisingly big and round & well focused while the trees & lights on the ground seem a bit out of focus

@steve …that probably means your equipment is considerably larger than a compact camera :-)

@mcscx actually, I think all of that image is blurred. This was taken just with a Nexus 6 camera. Absolutely not fancy at all. It was a digital HDR image, so it used multiple pics with different brightness/contrast emphases. I suspect that Venus looking less blurred is an accident of its small size to begin with.

@steve ah, then it looks like the cam did a "circle shake" in the pic used for Venus, which looks like a ring, & larger than expected :-)

@tuttle not sure if I understand that article... what part of Venus is so difficult to see with the naked eye?
