   @brianb Joining a group means you get all the messages in a conversation, even if you're not subscribed to all the participants. Of course, you can subscribe to people too. There's a partial list at http://sn.jonkman.ca/firehose/subscribers but you can subscribe to anyone in the !Fediverse
