28. The Chamber of the Bell. The main feature in this 30’x30’ chamber is a throne, containing an 8’ humanoid figure made of metal that is clearly a mechanical construct. The figure holds a golden goblet in its right hand. When the PCs enter, the figure raises the goblet to its lips and tips it to its hinged mouth in the act of drinking, though no liquid lies within. A magic mouth spell then activates, and the result depends on the current Dungeon Mood: Hostile: “I am the avatar of Savamor, organizer of the rituals of the Chaos God. You have displeased the God and, though they normally admire impertinence, you must be punished.” The statue stands up to attack, and acts as a Helmed Horror with 80 hp. Instead of a sword, it strikes with the goblet in its hand, which acts as a mace and causes a loud ringing sound on impact. Neutral: “I am the avatar of Savamor, organizer of the rituals of the Chaos God. The God is unimpressed with your actions so far, but you have one final chance to make good by answering this question: what am I holding?” The correct answer is the Bell of Savamor. If the correct answer is given, the statue hands the bell to the PCs; if the wrong answer is given, it attacks as above. Good: “I am the avatar of Savamor, organizer of the rituals of the Chaos God. You have pleased the God, and therefore have earned the Bell of Savamor without conflict.” The statue hands the bell to the PCs.
