22. Unfortunate conflict. This chamber, 20’x20’, contains a single display case on the opposite side of the room, which is empty. But in front of this case is a scene of old carnage – the dusty skeletons of four adventurers lie here, a fighter, bard, wizard, and priest, and it appears that they killed each other long ago, as a DC10 Investigation check reveals. Close inspection shows that the fighter died last, and he holds clutched in his fist a tiny porcelain figure of a rabbit. Any characters who lay eyes upon the figure must make a DC 18 WIS save or become obsessed with owning the figure, even to the point of killing friends to take it. If failed, this check may be made again each round until it succeeds. Even if a captivated character is freely given the figure, they accuse others of wanting it and attack. Destruction of the figure causes all effects to cease immediately. Within the figure, if shattered, is found a gold piece with strange ridges upon it. The dead party has standard adventuring gear, and much of it is rotten and ruined with age. However, the bard wears on his back a lute with silver trim that appears in good condition. This lute is magical, and a bard using it increases their Bardic Inspiration die by one level: d6 becomes a d8, and so forth.
