12. Corridor of Night. Beyond the central door of the Giant’s room, the PCs are faced with a corridor of inky blackness through which no normal light can penetrate. Only the Candle of Mal’khar can illuminate this blackness, revealing a relatively small but twisting maze of passages. If the Dungeon Mood is hostile, the PCs will find themselves stalked by a Wraith in the twisting corridors; otherwise, they are able to maneuver the passages with some unease but no ill effects. Anyone attempting to enter the darkness without the Candle will stumble out again after 1d4 rounds, 1d8 HP poorer, with no recollection of what happened other than a feeling that they were stalked through the darkness. Such PCs are Frightened for an hour afterwards.
