28. Mad sculptress room. This massive 50’x 70’ chamber contains perhaps two dozen statues, a variety of humans, demihumans and beasts. Concerned characters will likely expect a medusa, but in fact the creature who lairs here is a reverse medusa – all the same stats, but instead of a petrifying gaze, its gaze brings life to one lifeless statue per round, as desired. This insane creature, formerly a human sculptor, was “blessed” by the chaos god when she prayed for greater skill to make her creations come to life. She remains out of sight near the rear of the room for the first few rounds, bringing her statues to life to attack the party. At the back of the room is a door to her bedchambers and a table containing sculpting equipment. 29. Sculptress bedchamber. This room contains a bed, nightstand, dressing table, and wardrobe. The mirror on the dressing table has been shattered. The wardrobe contains a variety of unremarkable clothes piled haphazardly. Anyone who removes all the clothes from the wardrobe finds a Figurine of Wondrous Power at the bottom, an Ebony Fly.
