   Wow. Owarimonogatari is one of the most brutal arcs of the whole Monogatari series. No supernatural stuff, no fanservicey moments, no sight gags. Just pure realistic emotional gutpunches, one after the other. In a series filled with broken birds, Oikura takes the fucking cake.

   And the direction is stunning. Shinbo is a fucking master. Why the hell don't more anime directors take advantage of the literally infinite camera framing possibilities of animation?
