Holy hell, this is what I was complaining about here the other day, but for the opposite reason: why on Earth do they do it like this? See attached image, now that I know the term.
In my case, I have something like this, and it's really hard to fit it so it doesn't fall out. And the whole thing runs close to an electrical outlet. I always thought using friction fitting here was dumb.
