    LB: Every few years, people rediscover that the ham radio community isn't an open source/maker community, like how ARRL presents it.

    Making/elmering doesn't end with Yet Another YAGI, a few articles in QST about the same old stuff year over year, and the occasional trap or two.

    It is sometimes very irritating that a very free/open community like the amateur radio community mostly wrote non-free software for Windows in the past few decades (and to some extend still do). Take most of the well known analog filter design tools - they are all .EXE files.

    @lnxw48a1 We had that happen at one of our depot campuses. Apparently our VoIP solution doesn’t do IPv6.

    A majority of my family are allergic to high concentrations of soy. The offering from Beyond Meat would take out Dad. Almond content would put me in the hospital.

    Surprisingly in today’s “woke” world nobody at home has a problem eating meat, fish, or chicken. These products would literally cause us harm. It is just weird.
