@thunderbird @k9mail Whoa! Didn't see that one coming! Still, I'm cautiously optimistic about this. #K9 has been great for a long time, but short on marketing and funding. #Thunderbird has more recognition, but no #Android app. The two together could definitely be stronger than their separate parts. Plus, to be honest, I was wondering how long it would be before K9 got in trouble for the name/logo combo. This neatly sidesteps that before it's even a problem!

Blort (blort@social.tchncs.de)'s status on Monday, 30-May-2022 23:06:00 UTC Blort I second this. I love how #NextCloudTalk integrates with #Nextcloud so well, but I avoid using it as there's no interoperability with other chat clients or the wider world in general. I really would have preferred #Matrix (or even to a lesser degree #XMPP), but going and creating a completely new silo doesn't suit my needs.

Blort (blort@social.tchncs.de)'s status on Friday, 04-Oct-2019 18:30:52 UTC Blort WTF?! My non-rooted phone had #Google Maps pre-installed, but I only use #OSMand for navigation etc.
Yesterday, I walked to a local restaurant, without using my phone, and had lunch there before walking back.
I never opened #GoogleMaps.
Today, I find a notification from Maps:
How was {restaurant name}?
Rate places to get smarter recommendations. So it tracked and calculated where I ate without even opening my phone or the app.
Definitely time for #Pinephone / #LibreM

Personally I can't wait for #Gitea or #Gogs or #Gitlab or similar to federate via #ActivityPub. Personally I feel that will be a defining moment for the #FOSS community in taking back out sovereignty from #GitHub / #Microsoft.
