@NYbill That's super nice of you, Bill! I'm gonna see how it goes with the current setup and maybe attempt to run a cable under the house first, but I will keep that in mind.
This must be the reason why the bottom step is longer than the rest in our new house. #coffee If they'd done it with the third step it'd be easier to reach though.
My son chose this desk from Salvation Army today for his bedroom in the new house. It was priced at $12 (having been marked down 3x already) but cashier sold it to me for $6 because it had been there so long. Son is stoked!
@theru Well it's working harder showing this high-def video than it would using a text editor, but it doesn't seem too hot to me. Of course it's not on my lap, it's sitting on my fan. If you're asking whether it's hotter watching golf than anything else, then maybe. Golf is red hot after all!
In the new house, TV is in worst place vis-a-vis optimal antenna placement (opposite end of the house). Temporary workaround is my lovely homemade Gray Hovermann antenna fed into HDHomerun network TV tuner, plugged into ethernet. Watching British Open golf now on my laptop upstairs. Whew. Need a trained dog to pull coax cable under the house from one end to the other to feed the TV.
Now reading “Armageddon 2419 A.D.,” a #SciFi novella from 1928 and later the basis for Buck Rodgers. Lead female character has a very 1928 first name: Wilma! Adorable. Get it from Project Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/32530
