Girl who is bound up
And left in a wooden well,
Your heart lights a cinder
To vomit up the shaft
And there to burn through
Planks and echoes.
A scream parts the depths.
And now a fist flies.
Krrraaaah, krrraaaah,
A mumblemouth reminds.
From ditches and cracks
Flood tears across sceptred isles.
Boy choirs pace the cobblestone
From nowhere to nowhere again.
In frocks of white and red,
They paint both life and hell
Smearing song across the lane.
