To clarify, we are stopping i386 builds done nightly via our Jenkins instance: https://ci.lubuntu.me
i386 packages in currently-supported releases of Lubuntu will stay where they are. We don't officially support the CI PPAs anyway, so this shouldn't change our support story.
Following Ubuntu's decision to stop building most i386 packages, and our decision to stop supporting i386, the Lubuntu CI no longer builds packages for i386 as of today.
Goodbye forever, i386
Packages will no longer be built for i386 in Ubuntu. See our Discourse post for more information: https://discourse.lubuntu.me/t/goodbye-forever-i386/108
The original announcement about dropping i386 this past December, as nobody stepped up to help test: https://lubuntu.me/sunsetting-i386/
In the third issue of This Week in Lubuntu Development, we tell you about the Qt updates coming to the Bionic Beaver, some changes to the Lubuntu Manual, and much more!
