To me Matt Smith is still kind of a "new" doctor bc I started watching when it was David Tennant but I realize that was the mid 10s and now I'm wondering if I'll find bits of it cringe or agèd...
Now this scene Irene Adler, SHER LOCKED? Now that scene was iconic But watching it back https://youtu.be/-bBHT158E0s ...not the janky zoom... not the DIRECTORY overlay in green... the fact that she has all her files in a teeny tiny BLACKBERRY
I'm honestly still REELING at that clip of Sherlock bc this was the coolest thing back in the day!! The overlaid text and such, it was all new and exciting and very neat But now looking at it I'm cringing so hard and I fear the entire series was like this and I just. I just never noticed
For a moment I was thinking no it couldn't possibly be that old but a) I started watching it in 2013 when a few seasons were out which means it must've started in 2012 or so, b) that was a DECADE ago, and c) I saw this clip on twitter https://twitter.com/headfallsoff/status/894767493998399489 and I'm sure back then I thought it was the nearest thing but looking back I— HELP WHY IS IT CRINGE NOW the sound effects... the fact that it looks like an undergrad edited this on their laptop in a postproduction course... his HAIRSTYLE... please spare me
In the mid 10s or so I found it amusing that I could identify TV shows from the mid 00s because for some reason they were all filmed in a way that made everything look a little fuzzy and used a lot of warm colours and the two most prominent culprits of this I noticed were Doctor Who and NCIS, but now it looks like I can identify episodes from the mid 10s by how CRINGE they were
