Nothing says go back to Linux like an hour of this.
(Still messing with the batt on this fleabay win rig.)

Put in time at work to get out at noon Monday. I'll sit with MrsNYbill and the doggo on the front porch and we'll toast to the moon slamming into the sun.
Don't worry, plasma is malleable.
@jezra Don't know yet. Other then a dedicated ~$400 battery analyzer that MIGHT fix a $30 batt.
@jezra it's all right here! There must be a way to talk to it.
@jezra Seems like there are some workarounds. Then a hardware dig. I'm working on it...
LOL messing with this dead battery Win laptop again. Oo
(It'll have Linux on it as soon as I get this battery sorted.)
There is nothing wrong with these laptop cells! I bet they are brand new!
I put a bit of charge on them and they are fine.
But, because they sat in storage too long and fell to zero. A chip has the batt "Hardware Locked".
You're welcome, landfills of the world.
*zon Prime 2 day shipping has become a joke.
There are a bunch of old spinners in there as well:
Was just on *zon looking at a 10 pack of 256g SSD's thinking I must be getting low by now.
Then I remembered this drawer in the computer desk.
Saved me $140:
It still failed that time. I had a keyring issue. Updating the keyring didn't work. This seemed to have done the trick. The update just finished:
# rm -r /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/
# pacman-key --init
# pacman-key --populate archlinux
@theru Ha. I tend to forget to update till something breaks. Then I fix it and update. :P
@theru Slackuser
It's been about an hour now. Slacker @theru@theru.xyz !
Ok, NOW installing nmap. (I had to figure out a Arch update error problem first. Broken package stuff...)
@jezra That is only one syllable. Look at the chalk board kids, wa... nt, Want.
Mi... lk. Milk.
"Want milk". Your homework is due on Thursday.
Some day, someone will clean all this.
Whoa!
"The xz package has been backdoored"
Installing Nmap. Because, you know, Easter eggs.
