@djsundog @staticsafe there is nothing but last place now. If you're not Spotify, you're a nobody in the streaming music business these days. Even Apple, Google, and Amazon are having a hard time of it.
Thing is, Rhapsody was too early to the market. It wasn't ready for a streaming service. The world was CDs and downloads. It was also laden with DRM, like everything Real's ever done. No one wanted Rhapsody's streaming or their downloads that could only be played by Rhapsody.
@tcql @djsundog I think if I had to pick three books (arbitrary number chosen) for a 100 level class on TEH CYBER CULTURE, I'd go Neuromancer, Snow Crash, and Accelerando (by Charles Stross).
@munin When the devops thing happened, the SRE title sprung up as sort of "devops by sane adults and not by rogue javascript developers"Â . hell, there's even a big oreilly book called "site reliability engineering" about how google and friends manage their infrastructure.
