@paulfree14 @mistressemelia Have you considered running a #tor hidden, and #i2p service. Self-authenticating endpoints, *practically* uncensorable. Also... everyone knows how to use tor browser, so user adoption is easy!
you know, it doesn't matter if we use #pleroma or #gnusocial or #friendica or #mastodon etc. (are there more we can connect with?). the important thing is that we can communicate with each other. therefore we should rejoice over every additional server that springs into life, no matter what software it runs. whenever the media hypes something that is part of the #fediverse, it's good for all of us. but maybe we need a new name for the whole thing? I feel like "fediverse" doesn't cut it.
@mikael @theru I use lldp all the time.. it's awesome. It's the first thing I show new apprentices. Forget tracing cables... Plugin in laptop. type lldpctl, wait a few seconds, get back the IP address/Port of the switch your connected to. Or the other way around. ssh to switch. type stanza in switch language to show neighbours. ( e.g. show lldp info remote ) and find who is connected to what. IP phones telling you their tel number, other switch ports ... etc.. ) :-)

katI just realise that the memories often seem to be tinged with a loss or a regret. I don't really regret much. And I think it's important to think of the dead. When a subculture contains the dead, and the living, both old and young, it has a depth greater than fashion.
