@kk well.. perhaps I go to clubs that aren't quite so provincial or mainstream as most. But, I'm in a small northern British city. It's not Berlin/London/NYC here.
@mjray "passing" .. I think TV shows people who fit cis norms. It allows trans people who pass. It doesn't show the people who don't or don't want to - except perhaps as minor extra's as a bit of colour in a fetish club scene.

kat@anarchosaurus I think I did the same thing again, with "chinese" and "italian" ... Also I think veganism is not a choice as such... I mean it's one that people arrive at because they have thought about ethical and dietary matters carefully and reached a point where there is only a single action, that is become vegan. However I'm quite probably over-stressing about this, and you are correct.

katSomeone asked me if I had any dietary requirement, 'cos I'm going to stay at a vegan place for a bit. Anyway. I said I like eating vegan food. But now I'm worried that I've caused offence. Vegan is just NOT menu option; like for example ... I quite fancy chinese, or italian tonight. Being vegan is an identity. It's like I just fetishised somebodies identity. I hate it when people do that to me and now I've just done the same thing. HELP!
I'm looking for others with #type1diabetes on the fediverse. Just looking for a bit of a support network in this. I would very much appreciate a boost.
@mwlucas I had an Foundry FastIron II switch once that would not let you aggregate networks that had prefix 192.168.. i.e you could not create a route 192.168.10.0/23 ... Tech support told me that it was because they were Class C addresses.
