@mcc omg yes. I've been wondering recently if slow IPv6 adoption, which forced all homes to use IPv4 NAT, which makes things that should be done on LANs counterintuitively easier to do through a central public service, accidentally broke the entire world.

@mcc yeah I don't want to knock NAT, that was an amazing insight with a zillion uses. But IPv6 *was* ready before my christmas tree needed an IP address 😂
