    @aven @neimzr4luzerz I should also mention that exit nodes are constantly monitored for misbehavior, the longer-lasting the exit node is, the less likely it is to be poisoning dns. malicious exit nodes on Tor tend to be short-lived.

    @neimzr4luzerz @aven it's a challenge because your local dns is less likely to be opportunistically poisioning dns, it would have to be targeted. whereas the tor exit node doing the resolution wouldn't be targeted but has a much higher chance of opportunistic poisoning.

    @takeshitakenji I was considering switching to node because of how many libraries there are and how much stuff is already written to be used asynchronously. but I am just not sure yet. I've done so little code so far switching wouldn't be so bad, but to be honest I find working on JS on anything other than a toy project to be brain numbing.

    @takeshitakenji dtluna started work on a python server-side-only ostatus implementation, I am trying to figure out how to best balance my time. I am decent at python also. Need a core that is pervasively multithreaded and asynchronous and stateless.

    @clacke I read a while back about interracial couples who did so-called "race-play" being kicked out of BDSM groups because in essence it had been argued that it cannot even be done ethically in the privacy of your own bedroom, so knowing that certain people do or defend the right to do it in private have incompatible values with social justice and therefore must be removed. A couple of years back a socialist group imploded because of an argument over this issue. I forget who said it but in the 70s somebody said once a movement starts telling you how you can fuck, it is time to abandon that movement.
