If you’re using AppImage to ship your app on desktop Linux you’re doing a huge disservice to your users by perpetuating the use of a broken by design format that doesn’t even work on the most popular Linux distros without jumping into a terminal. Please stop shipping this format. Don’t use it. Don’t let your friends use it. Package any other way than this please

Long time Linux users, when people new to Linux ask for help, please do not give them terminal commands as your first response. The vast majority of people would rather not use Linux than open a terminal. It should be your last resort emergency advice when all else has failed

@markwyner I wish that I could say the same! For smaller businesses like ours I’m afraid it hurt quite a bit. Nothing is worth our integrity, but it would be nice if capitalism was less hostile towards integrity 😅
