@GreenFire Recalling when Bernie lost in SC because of the Black vote going for Biden and Bernie’s campaign blaming “low information voters.”

They have a messaging problem and a lack of ability to win people over on policy. Bowman could have run on accomplishments, but the far ends never have any.

AIPAC. Dark money. Centrists. Corporate interest. Billionaires. Everything is to blame but voters actually voting. In a district with a lot of voting Jews where the candidate denied rape happened, went out of his way to alienate his district, and said over the weekend that Jews segregate themselves, how this is surprising is unknown.

So many experts on this platform who know nothing about what goes on in reality at all.

The biggest part of who decides an election is, as always, the voters. Somehow I’m getting comments where people aren’t the slightest bit concerned about why the voters decided to oust Bowman, as if voters had nothing to do with it at all. Very, uh, interesting.

“It’s rigged if the person I like lost, but not if the person I like won.” Quite a take.

Anyway, I know people in NY-16 and spend a lot of time there. A grassroots movement worked for quite some time to get different representation.

Turnout is everything in close congressional races.

People's House is a new project created by the fantastic progressive group Blue Tent that helps people invest in grassroots organizing and voter engagement (these increase turnout the most) in competitive House districts, with a focus in 2024 on defeating the 20 most vulnerable Republican incumbents.

This is very smart and worth supporting in order to help Democrats take the House in 2024.
