Amsterdam needed to close a 90-year old historic bridge for for almost 4 months for necessary renovations. But they closed it to cars ... and built a whole new temporary bridge, just for bikes.

I actually think this is a narcissism test.

If someone watches this intro and thinks I'm talking about THEM, rather than making a self-deprecating joke about myself, then they're probably a narcissist.

I opened my Montréal video by saying that "ignorant anglophones" pronounce it as "mun-tree-all", and then the very next word of the video is ... ME SAYING IT THAT EXACT SAME WAY ... and I continue to do so for the rest of the video.

Obviously I AM THE IGNORANT ANGLOPHONE I'M TALKING ABOUT 😆 but it is hilarious to see how many people think I'm insulting THEM. Some people are really really mad about it. 🤣

Oh well. I'm never going to stop making stupid jokes, even if these people don't get it. 😉

@Squig Good idea, but unfortunately it's not that simple.

These dipshits are so stupid that not only do they not get an obvious joke, they feel the need to go out of their way to DM me, tag me on social media, and email me to express how angry they are.

Moderators do not solve this.

I deleted all these braindead comments and I'm just going to edit out the intro in the YouTube editor. It's not worth the people hassling me about this because they're incapable of differentiating between an obvious joke and an insult.

Sometimes I seriously wonder why I don't just disable comments on my videos altogether. 🤦♂️

The number of people who don't get this joke is insane. It's about 10% of comments on the video right now.

I do not understand how anybody could think I'm serious here, but I've clearly overestimated the average YouTuber.

This actually really annoys me.

I want to be able to make silly jokes, and I don't want them to have to be spelled out and obvious. That ruins them.

I now understand why big YouTubers water down everything to the point of being homogeneous slop.

The departures board at Frankfurt airport includes high-speed trains as well.

Everything marked as terminal T is a train departure from the train station that is directly connected to the airport. They have Lufthansa flight numbers too!

I don't make videos for clicks, or to get anybody to support me financially. I'm doing just fine.

I make the videos I want to make, and snarky blunt videos about cities are what I want to make.

I was particularly happy with my last two videos, and I really enjoyed making them.

They performed well too, and even have a higher-than-average "liked to dislike" ratio.

So ultimately, I'm happy, my Patreon supporters are happy, most viewers are happy, and reddit is still sucks. 😆

After my last 2 videos, I've seen an increase in comments (especially on reddit 🙄) that my "tone" is driving people away, and that I'd be much more successful if I was nicer.

Coincidentally, I've also seen a huge bump in Patreon supporters this month.

I've had an increase in the absolute number of Patreon supporters, but I've also had many people increase their contribution amount, even though I provide no benefits to anyone who does that. 🤔

I stumbled across this video when looking up new truck videos on YouTube. (It's important research! I promise!)

These Americans get convinced into buying an expensive pickup they can barely afford because they're having their 3rd kid.

And the best part? The truck doesn't even fit in their fucking garage!!

It's almost like a parody. It's insane that pickup trucks have become the new family vehicle.
