@pelagikat Sure that I will. Had a similar realization about dyslexia something like a year or so back. lol Already got systems and such in place to work with the math that comes up in my day to day. So it's just processing at this point :)
So, I was today years old when I realized that neurotypical people apparently can add numbers together without writing things down/using their fingers/verbally counting them out.
..like I kinda thought that was a myth as I taught myself to count on my fingers with really small movements tapping my leg so no one noticed...
Now, it's arguably totally within the feel of the whole project to just remove those hands at all and leave it as a rough estimate of what Dek you're in and not worry about the Decim or desek at all. ...but my brain desperately wants to figure out how to do this anyway.. despite me knowng absolutely nothing about how clocks work. so, fedi.. any suggestions? #helpwanted#clocks#DecimalInternetTime 2/2
It's Friday! And like every Friday, we'll be hanging out in a video chat room, drinking coffee and getting ready for #CircusInPlace :) Shenanigans running all night! https://meet.jit.si/CircusHomeGym
@RussSharek@tindall This struggle is very real. I was going to suggest PoznicTraining https://yewtu.be/channel/UCCh_uZ0m6HiVKUl-7eXSwtw but, the more I look at his stills and clickbait titles the more I realize that while the actual trainer is great about not being toxic normally, he marketed to get clicks from the 'muscle bro' side of things. So good advice on maybe a "I can ignore clickbait titles and find just stuff I can work with" kind of day. I'm definitely keeping an eye out so I can send better suggestions.
Yay! It's time for hanging out with friends and moving my body again. #circusInPlace has begun. We will be doing acrobatic shenanigans deep into the night (early morning) so feel free to drop in whenever! https://meet.jit.si/CircusHomeGym
Y'all.. has anyone found a free/libre/open source program that just lets me feed it an audio file and it spit out a plain text file of what was said? (.srt would be a bonus, but honestly I'll settle for just a text file) I'm currently using a webservice, but I'd really, really prefer to keep everything on my own box. I'm really enjoying getting to be inclusive and #accessible , and I'm gonna keep doing it, but I'm just not finding tools I like for #transcription.
@kawaiipunk@nuala NewPipe is awesome, but it's worth noting that if you are still running stock android, google has been known to suspend your account access for using it. It's best to save that one for after the step to an alternate rom like lineageOS.
Just a reminder that if you have an interest, go ahead and dive in. Let yourself obsess, read about it, listen to experts talk about the intricate details, even if it's above your current skill level, try things. Develop a practice, let some of that practice be play! Enjoy it :)
