In the US, companies use #USPS's own address filtering program, which has its own errors.
(Examples include State Route X replaced with US Highway X ... which doesn't sound bad, but US Highway X is halfway across the country, so occasionally an item cannot be delivered.)
(For those outside the USA, USPS = US Postal Service. There's also a package shipping company called UPS that is not owned by the US government.)

It looks like Casey’s Saturday delivery got pushed back to Monday. At least #USPS took off the “Expected delivery Aug. 21” from the tracking page.

My mom mailed a card to one of my brothers (who has lived in the same apartment for at least a decade). It came back as undeliverable.
#USPS screws up a lot, but I still don't want them closed down or sold.

I know there's a lot of pressure on #USPS right now, and I've had my share of lost and delayed letters and packages, but they aren't the only ones that have problems sometimes.
One time, I returned from an assignment with $EMPLOYER. I had five days to get my travel reimbursement filed. At the time, I had a landline and a fax machine, so I kept trying to fax it, but it kept disconnecting partway through the 30 page document. Finally, on day 4, I decided to ship it next day via #DHL (was the agency's preferred carrier at the time). They got it there, but it took almost three weeks.
Sending the tracking info saved me, or that flight and the last few days of hotel and rental car would have come out of my own pocket.

Despite #USPS being more and more unreliable for the past two decades, I'm opposed to any measures that would give their job to a non-government entity. Besides violating the Constitution, we already have too many monoplolies and oligopolies in critical areas.
I don't care if you're Democan or Republicrat, you're already paying more for worse service from krganizations like:
* cellular carrier
* electric utility
* water utility
* gas utility
* Internet provider
* garbage & recycling collection
* cable or satellite TV provider
* landline telephone service provider
and it will only get worse if USPS joins that list of vital services taken over by corporate monopolies & oligopolies.

During today's walk to the #USPS post office, I didn't pass many people that were not in their cars driving. Of the pedestrians I passed, all but possibly one person wore face coverings. However, I stopped at a store to buy a 7Up and saw two out of four employees with their noses uncovered. We're not going to turn this around if people don't figure this out

Walked to the #usps post office. Now heading for the #ups store with the old work cellphone. Passed three former employers' locations.

#USPS was supposed to deliver my presents (from #sonTwo ... Fathers Day, my birthday, Christmas all in one), but tracking says it is delayed between facilities and won't make it here by 20:00 PST. Maybe tomorrow.

#USPS says it delivered the package 2019-03-21, but I don't have it or its contents. Seller volunteered to refund my money after I told them that USPS saying they delivered was good enough.

Only 4640 steps today. After work, I went to #USPS and stood in line for an hour to ship some packages. #Star_Wars calendars en route to all the kids.
-
Firehouse Subs for dinner tonight. #USPS was closed, so calendars are still not shipped.

Going to try to make my #USPS run after work today.
