I think I saw several people point out when it started that ${NASDAQ[‘GOOG’]} has a tendency to abandon projects when they appear to be starting to succeed. Google Reader is the classic example.
I don’t currently buy many #PS4 games (and I play even fewer), because most of the games I buy are for playing with my sons, but our different timezones and schedules have made that a rare occurrence.
Maybe they can bring back the local pay-to-play shops where Internet speeds were higher than normal, so that gamers can satisfy their online multiplayer needs. Otherwise, the best online multiplayer experiences will have to come from reviving peer-based LAN parties.
