#A1 ( #Little_Boy_A ... now that he’s 8, he doesn’t want to be called ‘Little Boy’ any more ) is getting https://www.amazon.com/Turbospoke-Bicycle-Exhaust-System-Updated/dp/B07K1LPBBY
I couldn’t get an answer in time when I asked whether #Little_Boy_A2 or #Little_Girl_A3 are riding “real” bikes, so I didn’t buy this for them.

Today’s photos: #Little_Girl_A3 hugging one of the dolls I bought for her birthday a few months ago. She sure loves that toy.

Okay, looks like #Daddy_A will attempt to schedule a #videochat session for this week. Because they don’t see me often, the grandkids wait before they come up to greet me. We’re trying to make it so that the next time I see them in person, #Little_Boy_A, #Little_Boy_A2, and #Little_Girl_A3 are all comfortable enough to come right up.
At our most recent meeting (Summer of 2020) we were together around one hour, and A2 never did relax enough to come over.

#Daddy_A had some time last night and this morning, so he set up the #NAS I sent for his birthday (about six months ago). #Little_Boy_A, #Little_Boy_A2, #Little_Girl_A3 are watching something he's streaming off the NAS now.

Ordered some clothing for #Little_Boy_A and #Little_Boy_A2. The 7 year old and the 4 year old have the same waist size, so ordering pants is sort of questionable. Will the legs be long enough for the older child? Will this shirt fit the younger child without dragging the floor?
I often try to avoid #Amazon, but this time, I ordered from there. One of the things I dislike about Amazon is when I order items for multiple children in the same house, and they spread the delivery over a month's time. It's really a lot easier if everyone gets their stuff at the same time, even if they have to collect everything at one warehouse (ship it to that warehouse) and then ship it all together to the customer.
In this case, besides my order, #sonOne purchased clothing and shoes for #Little_Girl_A3. All of her things have arrived already, but for the boys, only a pair of t-shirts have arrived. The rest will arrive in (what looks like) 4 more shipments between now and the end of November.
I still haven't ordered their shoes. And I don't know whether #sonTwo ordered their socks yet.

The first couple of packages for #Little_Girl_A3 were delivered today. #Daddy_A sent us a video of her saying “Thank you ... for the clothes”. Surprisingly, I understood everything the three year old said, which has not happened before.
-
I awoke to see a screenshot of #sonOne's order of clothing for #Daddy_A's daughter #Little_Girl_A3. He got everything: shoes, socks, pants, panties, shirts. There's even one item that might be a jacket. Now grandpa needs to put in an order for clothing for #Little_Boy_A and #Little_Boy_A2.
I also have a list of items to order for #GS3.

Thought: Now that #Little_Boy_A2 is 4 and #Little_Girl_A3 is 3, I need to send some more alphabet refrigerator magnets. Their older brother had three sets.

HOME RUN.
#Daddy_A sent a photo of the happiest little girl I've ever seen in my life. #Little_Girl_A3 received her two baby dolls for her 3rd birthday. I think that's easily the best $20 I ever spent.
I'm told that #Little_Boy_A2 was also happy with his birthday gift, but no photo was sent.

I don't know whether #Daddy_A is going to hold onto the toys until the kids' birthdays, but the toys for #Little_Boy_A2 and #Little_Girl_A3 arrived today.

I went with two of the cheap $11 dolls for #Little_Girl_A3’s birthday present. I figure she’s turning 3, so no need to start spending $50 or more, even if I could afford it.
Likewise, I bought the $20 Nintendo Mario “diorama” kit for #Little_Boy_A2’s birthday instead of the $40 remote control race car. He’s turning 4.
Plus, since their birthdays are about a week apart, they’re always going to have to accept less expensive presents than their older brother (however, in February, people are still paying off Christmas spending, so he too may have to learn to accept less expensive gifts.
We have some November and December birthdays in the family, and we typically celebrate half-birthdays for those people. Though in their cases, it isn’t the price, but having one’s special day get lost in the glow around another special day.
-
Now I need to look for something with Nintendo's Mario that a 4 year old would like and for a baby doll or Barbie doll that a 3 year old would like.
#Little_Boy_A2 was insistent about the Mario part, while #Little_Girl_A3 did not really know what she liked, but her mom told me.

Forgot what it is like to not feel hot at midday. Spent a couple of hours with #Daddy_A and the family at the outdoor seating of a food place.
The kids don't see me enough, even by video. The middle child ( #Little_Boy_A2, almost 4 ) made sure to stay outside of hugging range, but the other kids ( #Little_Boy_A, age 7; and #Little_Girl_A3, almost 3 ) got some hugs.
We talked about upcoming birthday gifts, A2's toy airplane and upcoming preschool, A's upcoming school year, and A3's expanding vocabulary.

I used to watch the original Power Rangers and Power Rangers Turbo with #sonTwo and his friends. I got to see some episodes of Power Rangers in Space with my nephews. I'd like to sit down with #GS3 and #Little_Boy_A / #Little_Boy_A2 / #Little_Girl_A3 and binge watch the first few seasons ... if they can watch without karate chopping one another.

#Daddy_A told me that #Little_Girl_A3 likes the book of Bible stories that I sent for her, so I got some individual stories:
* Moses
* Good Samaritan
* Joseph
They were only 99c each (guess where I found them), so I also got the same ones for her cousin #GS3.

https://www.synology.com/en-us/products/DS220j maybe this one.
The two older boys have some professional use for the devices along with being the family Plex server. #Daddy_A does not. He’s probably going to be off for at least three more years (until #Little_Girl_A3 is in first grade), assuming the next back surgery goes well.
The DS220j is probably a step down from the DS218 model that I bought for #sonOne, but the $80 price difference might be the difference between “look what our Dad sent me” and “why am I the only one that didn’t get one?”.

Will have to look for something for #Little_Boy_A on Saturday. They all have coloring books and scribble pads, but his siblings each have one other item (plane for #Little_Boy_A2, stickers for #Little_Girl_A3).
-
Still trying to get #sonTwo and #Daddy_A together to test multipoint videochat and audiochat on #Wire, #Jitsi_Meet, #Nextcloud_Talk (whenever I get that one set up). So far, I have one-to-one chats with sonTwo plus his wife and #GS3 almost daily; one-to-one chats with #sonOne plus #GD1 and #GD2 (wife usually appears briefly) every week, and one-to-one chats with Daddy A plus wife, #Little_Boy_A, #Little_Boy_A2, #Little_Girl_A3 about 1-2 times per year.

#Little_Boy_A celebrated his birthday ... he's not really talking because he just had his tonsils removed. I asked him whether he's getting lots of ice cream, but he did not answer.
He didn't even object when I congratulated him for being 75. (This is how it works: 6 + 1 = 7, but that one has to come from somewhere, right? So you take it from the 6 and end up with 5.)
His younger sister ( #Little_Girl_A3, age 2 ) took the phone to tell me something, but I did not understand a word of it.
-
Previous record is talking to four grandkids in the same day. Today I talked to five (couldn't really understand what #Little_Girl_A3 said, but she was happy to babble at me). I'm going to try to make it six.
