My sister took one of her cats (almost 14 years old) to the vet today. #lazyNephew said the cat has been unable to walk for a couple of days.
I hope they’re prepared for the most likely result.

I ordered almost everything while I was working in Puerto Rico, but didn't get a job where I could come home every night, so the replacement never completed.
#Daddy_A, #lazyNephew, and a couple of others also got partial or complete replacements.

#lazyNephew wants his own #NAS with a 16TB drive. I sent a link to a $100 single-bay Synology model, but said that his desired drive won't be affordable before he's 35. I think he will decide this entry-level device isn't good enough.
Oh, well. When he's 50 and still doesn't have one, he'll realize that you do what you can with what you have.

#lazyNephew’s voice has been sounding deeper lately, so I asked him if he’s having a 2nd puberty at nearly 30 years old.
He said, no, I’m sick. That always happens when I’m sick.
Oh, okay. You don’t get to relive puberty every 14 years?
At that point, he didn’t respond.

Security keys (yubikeys) are starting to spread in my family. I bought one for my mom, one for each of my kids ( #sonOne, #sonTwo, #Daddy_A ), one for nephew #Papaya, one for #faveNephew. #lazyNephew is buying his own. Nephews #Honshu and #PizzaMan are waiting to see what their brother does with his.
This is a multi-year project, but interest has picked up considerably in the past month or so.

Hilarious! #lazyNephew, who wasn't interested in security keys, suddenly asked whether I had a spare Yubikey, and not the $20 model I got for his brother #Papaya and cousin #faveNephew. He asked about a $45 model.
So now he's going to buy it himself. Reason: the admin of the game server he plays on is requiring them soon to prevent account takeovers.

Sent my nephew #Papaya a $20 Yubikey, because I believe he'll use it. I could have given it to his older brother ( #lazyNephew ), who lives in this house, but I was pretty sure it would go to waste.

The cat Jason sings to #lazyNephew each morning. Well, I call it singing. Cat wants to go visit the other end of the house, but nephew wants to close the door and go to bed.

@Mitsu@shitposter.club Sounds like @guizzy and #lazyNephew are the same person. Just do what I do: talk to his mother and tell her you need him to clean up his mess so you can use the tub.

So apparently, #California's current #COVID-19 restrictions include a curfew at 22:00 every night. Last night, #lazyNephew was heading out to go through a fast food drive through at 21:30, when my mom and sister reminded him about it. I didn't even know.
I mean, I read Gov Newsom's announcement, but I was distracted.

The tablet switched to a different router / AP, and that one loses DNS if it isn't rebooted regularly. (Sister's room, so "managed" by #lazyNephew.)

Today is a reveal day. #lazyNephew got his #COVID-19 test results back, and he's not infected, so now he tells us that he had a potential exposure at work two weeks ago, so they told him to quarantine (but he still went to work).
I know he mostly stays in his room anyway, but he really should have informed us.

Went to the kitchen to get something for lunch only to discover that my sister is home today and is cooking a big meal for us (and my nephew #Papaya and his family).
Also, it seems #lazyNephew finally got out of his games and went over to spend time with his brother last night. I'm glad he did it, so that he doesn't damage his relationship with his brother.

I hope #lazyNephew isn't ruining his relationship with his brother by holing up in his room and playing the same game(s) he plays every day with his gaming crew while his brother #Papaya is here visiting for only a few days. I don't think he's thinking about anything beyond today.

Surprise visit to #SoCal by my nephew #Papaya and his family (younger brother of #lazyNephew). They're here for a few days from #TX.

Recently visited one of my sisters who doesn't live in the same house. I showed her and #faveNephew a photo of the tub after #lazyNephew showers. (We have to have his mother remind him to clean up behind himself.)
Y'all just don't know.

I bought a Yubico-branded security key last year, but haven't done much with it yet. (In fact, I made sure that all three sons, my mom, and @amic@nulled.red each had one. I can't recall whether I gave one to #lazyNephew.)

#faveNephew called last night while I was looking for children's clothing, so I'm finishing the order today.
We talked about my recent trip to #MO and my plans to move there. We discussed certain family members who are wedded to living in this area and how moving will affect them.
We discussed his cousin #lazyNephew. Work ethic, cleaning and cooking (or lack thereof ... I sent pics of the tub after LN's shower). We talked about the way LN spends much of his money on eating out, then can't pay his cellular bill or put gas in the tank. (His mom--one of my sisters--bails him out every pay period, then wonders why she's broke.)
We discussed FN's commute to work (he's not sure how long he can keep doing it, but his agency is paying him a location bonus for the office where he's assigned), potential advancement paths, and what it is like having a new supervisor that resents his higher education level. And potential paths into other agencies.
He worked late enough that traffic was thinner, so our call (during his drive home) was shorter than our normal calls.

I hope the water heater has caught up after #lazyNephew's shower. My skin is pretty itchy tonight. A shower, followed by heavy application of lotion, should solve that.
