#GS4 has a toy xylophone that he loves to play with. At about six months old, he hasn't yet mastered hitting it with the attached mallet thing, but he makes the motions and occasionally strikes it, making a tone. I told my daughter-in-law that I foresee the day when he asks Grandpa for drums.
She says he likes it and plays with it far more than #GS3 ever did.

Today’s outing for #GS3 and #GS4 looks like they went somewhere space-themed. In the photo my daughter-in-law sent, the two year old is standing near something that resembles a space suit.

I bought a slice of #pizza today. Somehow, the sauce got all over my pants. Today was going to be #coin-laundry night, but I’m too tired.
In other news, #GS4 does not like the flavor of his baby food, but he has to eat veggies, so that when he starts eating real food, he’ll already have learned to eat them.
-
#GS4 is still working on his crawling skills. He’s not there yet, but he’s really trying to get there. He’s still quieter than #GS3, but he’s also working on trying to communicate.

#GS3 showed me his toy tractor. He objected when I called the driver aR farmer. #GS4 was quiet, but stared intently at Grandpa.
Today, #sonTwo and I briefly talked about him getting a place outside the municipal boundaries, so they can have farm animals.
Network congestion was an issue today, so images were pixelated during most of our half hour call.

And #GS3’s shipment of books and art stuff arrived. #GS4 had a couple of things in there also, but I forgot to get anything for my granddoggy.
The two year old was holding a Captain Underpants book and waiting for #sonTwo to read it to him.
Since the CU and Dog Man books are not toddler resistant, 2nd son said he was going to keep them away from GS3 and just bring them out when it is time to read.
(GS3 saw me showing his dad some books I bought for his cousin A1 … got excited about incoming books … so Grandpa bought him some of the same books. [And I also got many of the same books for cousin #GD2] … the under 13 crowd will have lots of fun with these stories.)

#sonTwo and his wife took #GS3 and #GS4 to a farm of some type. The 2 year old got to feed and pet goats and ponies, and to touch a tractor. He almost got nose to nose with a goat.
Sweaty boy, though. It must be hot and humid there.
The younger child watched and smiled.

You may be able to suck your toes now while you’re less than a year old, but the day will come when not only will you not be _able_ to bring your toes near your face, you will not _want_ to bring your toes near your face.

This morning’s picture: #GS3 “reading” to #GS4. He has memorized some of his books and can recite the words as you read them.
Guizzy, this is the moment you’re working toward. Well, that and the “Justin Trudeau eat soap” moment.

#GS4 was crying, so #GS3 started singing "Old MacDonald" to him to try to calm him. Later, #GS4 touched his older brother and started making baby noises at him. #bonding
I'm missing so much by being so far away from them.

Did not get to #videochat with #sonOne and his family, nor with #Daddy_A and his family.
I did get about half an hour with #sonTwo and his family. They took #GS3 to a field with lots of tall flowers and he got to run between them. Then I walked to the store to replenish my #yogurt supply. When I came back, it was almost bedtime for the two year old, so we had a rushed session.
GS3 is particularly a fan of broccoli 🥦 right now, so they’ve been making sure he has a little every day. He also likes cheese, so tonight he finished his quesadilla while talking to grandpa. I didn’t understand a word he said until time for “bye bye” and “good night”, but he smiled and babbled. I suppose he was probably talking about the field trip.
#GS4 sat quietly and watched the screen where grandpa was. And smiled.

Sent messages to sons asking to schedule short #videochat sessions tomorrow.
I normally have one with #sonOne and #GD1 and #GD2 (on rare occasions daughter-in-law pops in for a few minutes) Sunday afternoons, but recently, his work schedule has interfered.
I normally have them Fridays and Sundays with #sonTwo and #GS3 and #GS4 (sometimes daughter-in-law, but she's often busy), but we missed tonight's session.
Sessions with #Daddy_A, #A1, #A2, and #A3 are infrequent, and he often has device issues that prevent it. (That is, his iPhone and iPad don't display notifications or make sounds ... he even took the phone in for service; they couldn't correct it, so they replaced it.)

#sonTwo was teaching #GS3 (2 years old) to sing old N'Sync and Backstreet Boys songs today. #GS4 (3 months old) was quite amused by it all.
-
#GS4's 5-pack of Star Wars bodysuits arrived today. I forgot to tell #sonTwo I had ordered them until he texted to ask whether I had sent baby clothing.
Yes, but that was June. Are they just arriving now?
-
#GS4 is still quieter than #GS3 was at that age (3 months), but he's beginning to roll over, make noise, and try to move toward Mommy.
-
Latest photo: #sonTwo reading a technical manual to #GS4. They got some new equipment at work, so he has to read the manual. It's just convenient that the baby needs someone to read to him at the same time.
-
#GS3 enjoyed his zoo trip so much they did it again today at a bigger zoo. the photos show that #GS4 also liked today's visit, except he looks hot.
-
Latest picture of #GS4 has him wearing a superman onesy. He's got one fist raised and the other near his waist, so he looks like Superman flying. He's got a big smile on his face.

Final score 9-8.
#sonTwo called, so we had a video call of us and #GS3 watching the game. #GS4 looked at the TV briefly, then went to sleep.
When it was time to hang up, sonTwo asked GS3 to say goodbye, but GS3 yelled "No!" and ran offscreen. I could not keep from laughing.

Got a call from #sonTwo for Fathers' Day. #GS3 had too much excitement this weekend (yesterday's zoo trip), so a #videochat depends on how cranky he is after his nap. It was a hot day, too, so #GS4 was sleepy all day yesterday.
