Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Wednesday, 11-Oct-2023 00:55:17 UTC Stephen Sekula Had an awesome time in the underground laboratory @ SNOLAB today! Very pleased to be able to support our colleagues at # BoulbyLab as they engage with us about planning for laboratories as they evolve. As always, members of our laboratory team delighted us with art and our friends at Boulby with warm welcomes! I was grateful to be able to spend time in the lab after the tour concluded so I could understand some things about the # PICO40L detector. https://chirp.cooleysekula.net/attachment/0b321e043ab89a7ff045880940864895e838b46d4f608a720d041771b70f6d19/view -

This is probably the last release on the 4.0 line as it's nearing its EOL. -

Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Tuesday, 10-Oct-2023 09:10:13 UTC Stephen Sekula Excited to finally get to work in the underground laboratory @ SNOLAB today. The lab was closed for a mine summer maintenance period, but when it reopened I was sick for two weeks (cage travel when congested is a big no no), then travelled a bunch and/or got stuck on surface in management meetings. I get to help today with a visit from # BoulbyLab colleagues and otherwise will support # PICO40L today. -

Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Sunday, 08-Oct-2023 11:30:16 UTC Stephen Sekula My # PeerTube site, media.cooleysekula.net, will continue to be down for a little while. During a strange and exceptionally long # CloneZilla disk copy, the power supply on the machine actually completely failed! Luckily, I had retained a spare power supply for just such an emergency, and the system is back up and cloning again. Clone is going much faster this time, at least. -

Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Saturday, 07-Oct-2023 01:40:12 UTC Stephen Sekula Hot take: I think Dave Filoni just setup the “Heir to the Empire” trilogy using the “Ahsoka” series. What once was canon was changed to legend, and once more may be restored to canon. Jorus C’Baoth, the Jedi cloned into the “mad jedi” in the trilogy, tried to explore beyond the galaxy and died in the attempt. Filoni is no fool, and clearly has drawn on this “legends” material to restore it to canon. I hope a season 2 gets made … I am excited to see Thrawn’s strike on the New Republic.
