Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Wednesday, 06-Aug-2014 21:05:25 UTC Stephen Sekula Fediverse, I need your help. What Wiki platform should I run on my server? I self-host and can run anything. I am looking for the following things: * Account management * Web interface editing * Ideally, storage as text files on disk that can also be easily managed Other things, like media support (e.g. uploading images and embedding them in pages) would be good. I look forward to ideas! -
vinzv (vinzv@gnusocial.de)'s status on Wednesday, 06-Aug-2014 21:25:12 UTC vinzv @steve I prefer Dokuwiki as its very lightweight. It has a good and simple plugin and theme infrastructure, so adapting the wiki to your needs is easy. -
Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Wednesday, 06-Aug-2014 21:27:00 UTC Stephen Sekula OK! I've now got 3 votes for DokuWiki, 2 from pump.io and 1 from GNU Social. I'll be checking that out. -

Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Wednesday, 06-Aug-2014 22:29:41 UTC Stephen Sekula I've installed Dokuwiki. So far, it's awesome. Everything I was looking for - user management, flat files on disk (no DB to backup), and as a bonus it has the security features to secure pages. Thanks everybody! This is definitely "the one" for me. @mcscx@quitter.se and vinzv like this.
