I came in after work to find that my keycards didn't seem to do anything. So I went down to the front desk, where they were trying to reset their whole system. Apparently, a technician had come out to service something and had flipped a software switch, so that now, every lock defaults to unlock after the first key scan. Since their housekeeping staff came in and partially cleaned the room, my door is unlocked until they fix this issue.

No, there was no announcement or sign. I just happened to walk up as two employees were discussing the issue and trying to enter codes to restore the traditional functionality.

    Oops!

As of this afternoon, the issue remains. There are two exterior doors to the back parking area. One door locks. The other one does not, despite the signs everywhere "doors are locked for your security".

I don't care so much about that, but guest room doors, or at least MY guest room door, remain unlocked and non-lockable except using the deadbolt from the inside.
