sometimes you see a caricature of a racial stereotype but it's actually a photo so you don't know what to do because the person who gave birth to them was clearly a racist

Santa Claes πΈπͺππ°π (clacke@libranet.de)'s status on Monday, 28-Mar-2022 11:06:05 UTC Santa Claes πΈπͺππ°π @thor Kalle is originally a nickname for Karl but yeah these days it's a name in its own right.
Kalle HalldΓ©n (most probably with the accent, but could have lost it too) sounds extremely Swedish, both the first and the last name.

Thorwegian βοΈ (thor@berserker.town)'s status on Monday, 28-Mar-2022 11:06:06 UTC Thorwegian βοΈ @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @clacke i think "kalle" is from "kall" meaning "guy" essentially, so i think for Swedes, it's a very "everyman" sort of name.
"Donald Duck" is named "Kalle Anka" (where "anka" means duck) in Swedish, for example.

Thorwegian βοΈ (thor@berserker.town)'s status on Monday, 28-Mar-2022 11:06:07 UTC Thorwegian βοΈ @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @clacke there is a town named Halden in Norway. "Hallden" sounds like it might be a similarly named town in Sweden, but don't quote me on that.

Thorwegian βοΈ (thor@berserker.town)'s status on Monday, 28-Mar-2022 11:06:08 UTC Thorwegian βοΈ @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @clacke i would struggle to take anyone named Kalle very seriously because it's like being named like a pet or animal lol but the Swedes use it like a real name

Thorwegian βοΈ (thor@berserker.town)'s status on Monday, 28-Mar-2022 11:06:09 UTC Thorwegian βοΈ @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @clacke in Norway, "Kalle" is the name we use for Frosty, the snowman, so it's a fantasy name. in Sweden, guys are actually named that.

if it's Swedish, you absolutely *must* accent the last name somewhere.
there's this old Norwegian comedy skit where a guy, supposedly from the Norwegian Council on Soups, is named Balle Klorin, and it sounds like a parody of a Swedish name XD

the skit was so popular that it coined a new word, "supperΓ₯d", soup council, for any kind of pointless council where people are apparently paid for doing nothing useful
