while i don't agree with the quote 100%, there is some truth to the idea that you vote differently as you age. and to the general idea that you vote according to which life stage or life situation you're in. i know my own vote has been all over the place depending on my situation. i don't vote these days though.

The older adults in my family are much LESS likely to identify as conservative now than when they were younger, because today's "conservative" politicians represent a radical departure from the values and policy views these family members have consistently held through their lives.
