the WSO2 zip works, but idk if it has their bullshit license. I don't think so, since it's just stuff on github, but time to check

Yeah, the file structure that the download gives you is not on the same planet as what maven builds. It's probably worth figuring out what #maven actually does at some point, but I don't think that is happening today

ok, so it's different, but I forgot to do the -R...and there is some solr in here, so I need to dig a bit.
