Educators not happy with the plans their institutions’ administrators cooked up for next school year. https://freethoughtblogs.com/pharyngula/2020/07/12/i-can-fix-this-plan/

One of the commenters notes that schools will have to spend up to 1/3 of next school year re-teaching things that students were supposed to learn last year.
The usual month or two of review may extend into three or four months. The thing is, schools had little warning and no time to prepare for it. But now, they will have had five or six months that were wasted in circular discussions. What worked in the enforced online learning programs? What did not work? What worked for high-resource schools / families, but not for low-resource schools / families? How can we ensure that students have access to fast, content-filtered Internet connections and quiet environments that are favorable for learning?
Can we temporarily cut out some parts of the curriculum so that students have more time to devote to others?
How can we get states to increase funding for schools without it being wasted on yet more administrator salary increases? I’ll admit that even with two of my sisters still working for school districts, I do not have an answer, and neither do they ... nor their districts. (One sister probably missed out on doubling her pay by staying in her current district; but some administrators there will be rolling in loot 💰next year.)

@geniusmusing Think about transportation ... schoolbusses. (Pictured: Iowa Schoolbus https://nu.federati.net/attachment/244566 )
