For weeks now, whenever a photo is posted to Facebook (e.g. from Pump.io) and then also to Twitter or GNU Social, the photo post is duplicated on Facebook. For instance, once as a photo with caption text and then again as a re-tweeted post from Twitter with the same text and a link to the photo. I thought at first that this was a failure to fuzzy-match the text in both posts. But it's not. It's due to a "feature" of Facebook. If you've posted a bunch of photos to the same album, but in different posts, the Facebook stream will lump the posts together into a single item in the stream. It will change the posts from "photo caption" to "NAME OF PHOTO ALBUM LINK TO ALBUM HOW MANY PEOPLE LIKE THE MOST RECENT PHOTO" Fuck you, Facebook. So the question is: how does one disentangle the photos again? I'll bet that's not even possible. Sigh. -
