   I remember one place in #OH where the office was in a complex behind the hotel. I walked to work every day, in about three minutes. I liked being commute-free, but it could also mean “Hey, I know it is ten PM, but deputy director so-and-so is coming early tomorrow, and we need you to go make sure everything looks good.”

     @lnxw48a1 Seeing as I've seen the sights today of technical leads and managers just walking away in disgust when they get overloaded with impossible levels of work...that's something you'd never have to worry about in my little bureau.

     Then again, we're getting down to dangerously low staffing levels. Eventually we're going to be unable to function. This may happen before the calendar year is out and *that* may cause a beautiful crisis to make the Brexit moaners look petty.
