   Why does it take a 5 horsepower gasoline-powered two-stroke internal-combustion noisy smelly lawnmower to cut some blades of grass that have a tensile strength less than 39 N/mm^2 ?

     Needless to say, all the neighbours are at it again, sequentially. There should be some kind of coordinated weekly lawnmowing hour, get it all out of the way at once.

     In many "bostadsrättsföreningar", at least where I live, they take care of that with one person responsible per week, who takes all the lawns (and common areas) at once. Or at least more than one lawn at a time.
